MP Panel is missing a battery

The MP series hardware does not ship with a battery installed. These units now include a built-in internal supercap which allows the panel to store up to 10 hours of low power to maintain the clock.

If choosing to add a coin cell battery instead of the 10 hour supercap, a BR2032 or CR2032 can be installed. Configure the battery jumper as outlined in controller installation manual.

Cardholder database and event transactions have changed and those are now stored in flash memory which does not require any power so in the event of total power loss that data would be retained.
