Client has a clean room or sterile area that requires unscheduled cleaning. During this period, those with normal access rights are to be locked out for cleaning period.
The Mercury definition:
The Time Schedule Override feature provides the ability to designate a particular or set of specific individuals with an override command that will place any enabled reader out of its normal access parameters without having to address the user database through the keyboard.
The Mercury answer:
The Mercury EP1502 or EP2500, in conjunction with a keypad reader or keypad alone, allows for an operator-configured command string associated with a valid access to temporarily shut down access of a controlled opening. This command string can affect all cards or identities programmed for door access without having to make database changes to existing access levels, overriding one or more time schedules and thereby blocking access. Once the area has been cleaned and is ready for normal access, the input of the proper “release” code allows normal access to occur.
